Where do you inject Victoza?
Victoza® is given as an injection under the skin (subcutaneous).
Do not inject it into a vein or muscle.
The best places to give yourself the injection are the front of your thighs, the front of your waist (abdomen), or your upper arm.
You can give yourself the injection at any time of the day, regardless of meals.
How long does a Victoza pen last?
Each pen will last 30 days, with 0.6 mg, 15 days with 1.2 mg, and 10 days with 1.8 mg. This medication may be taken at any time of the day. The recommended pen needle is a 32G fine-tip needle, which can be capped on to the pen easily.
What pen needles can be used with Victoza?

The recommended needle for the Victoza® pen is the NovoFine® 32-G Tip needle. Multicenter, randomized, open-label, 2-period, crossover trial in insulin-treated patients with diabetes (type 1 or type 2).

Though it is effective in controlling blood sugar, Victoza may be linked to dangerous side effects, including pancreatitis and thyroid cancer. The Victoza label also warns of potential for serious hypoglycemia (low blood sugar), renal impairment and acute gallbladder disease.
How many pens are in a box of Victoza?

Should I take Victoza in the morning or at night?
It is taken once a day and is delivered with the Victoza® pen. Victoza® can be taken any time of day, with or without food. It’s best to get into a routine so you remember to take it at the same time every day.
