If you DON’T have grip issues on a certain exercise, don’t use straps for that exercise.
But if you DO, use them.
The same goes for if you’re only having problems during the later sets of an exercise when hand/wrist fatigue from earlier sets is kicking in.
Use straps on those sets only.
