Can you use water with a clay bar?
Re: Using Clay Bar with water
Meguiars tends to say it is best to have some sort of lubrication, as in a soap or detailer spray, not just water alone. The idea being, if you picked up any sharp, or large bits on the clay, the water wouldnt provide enough lubrication, an you could put swirls in your paint.
Do I need to wax after clay bar?
When you’re finished claying your car, you may need to wash it to remove any lubricant film. If you plan to use a pre-wax cleaner polish, it will remove clay residue so there’s no need to wash. Last but not least, after using clay, seal your freshly cleaned paint with your choice of wax or sealant.
