How does the Apple Music family membership work?
Each member of an Apple Music family subscription gets unlimited access to the Apple Music catalog. And each family member gets their own personal music library, and music recommendations based on what they love to listen to. Just set up Family Sharing, then invite people to join your family group.
How do I add family members to Apple music?
- Open Apple Music settings: Open Apple Music, then tap the menu icon in the upper left corner.
- Navigate to Account settings: Tap on your photo or name at the top of the screen.
- Open Membership settings: Tap on Manage Membership, then enter your iCloud password if prompted.
Will I lose my Apple music if I join family sharing?
If you join a family group it provides a way to share purchased content. If you join a family group with a family membership, they can cancel the individual membership and not lose access to Apple Music. When a playlist is created, it is associated with the Apple ID.
Can I share my Apple music?
Apple Music comes with iOS 8.4 and costs $9.99 to subscribe. There’s also a family plan that costs $14.99 for up to six people. This feature lets families have up to six Apple IDs linked up to one credit card, so purchases in iTunes, iBooks and the App Store can all be shared without having to share the same Apple ID.
