How do I turn on G Sync?
Disable Nvidia G-SYNC using Nvidia Control Panel
- Right-click on the desktop screen and select Nvidia Control Panel in the menu.
- Click on the + symbol next to Display.
- Click on Set up G-SYNC.
- Uncheck the box next to Enable G-SYNC.

GSYNC itself does have a constant increase in input lag, but it is very very minor, and the frame consistency it offers makes it an incredible option.
Does GSync increase FPS?
The maximum FPS you can view is limited by your monitor’s max refresh rate, gsync has nothing to do with it. Your gpu maybe able to push out more than your monitor can display, but you aren’t actually seeing those. V-sync will limit your gpu from going OVER 60fps to try and avoid this but causes some input lag.

Do I need Vsync for G Sync?
You want VSYNC set to OFF if you are going to be using GSync, period. There’s no reason to use both at the same time. Also, G-Sync already FPS caps you at 144 FPS anyway, and your eyes won’t see the difference between 144 FPS and 200 FPS because your monitor can’t refresh that fast anyway.

You can set a FPS cap below the refresh rate, but then that adds stutter, unless you are using G-sync. Anyways, G-sync removes the need to compromise, though 144hz without tearing isn’t terrible, at least not like it is with a 60hz monitor. G-sync is better.
Is Gsync good for gaming?
First, it depends on how hardcore a gamer you are and what kind of gaming you do. G-Sync creates a perfect marriage of low input lag and more consistent, tear-free performance, but it’s possible you’re not really suffering from these issues anyway.
